Summer Reading and Writing Programs from Park Books and Literacy Lab
Are you concerned that your child is not reading or writing as well as they could?
Park Books is not your average bookstore. The inspiration for their bookstore came from their dedication to growing young learners. They embedded a literacy lab into a bookstore to engage readers and to serve local families. The lab is made up of awesome, certified reading specialists and special educators here to teach readers of all ages.
COVID-19 has impacted our community in ways we couldn’t have even imagined. Local teachers have been working hard to provide the most powerful and engaging instruction that they can! But, no matter how hard everyone works, some kids need a little extra support.
I can fully attest to this-Avery has struggled immensely over the last year + with reading and it's really taken its toll on him. He has some vision issues that make learning online even more challenging for him. He has been frustrated by school and has lost his confidence in reading. After just two sessions with Park Books and Literacy Lab, Avery came to me this morning right after waking with a book to show me exactly what he learned in Ms. Melody's class last night. I can see his love of reading returning.
Park Books has put together reading and writing sessions to meet the needs of all young learners. Whether your child is entering a classroom as a Kindergartener for the very first time or you have a child moving grades and you’re concerned that they didn’t improve as much as you’d hoped, they have a program for you!
