Math Summer Intensive for Rising 4th, 5th, and 6th Graders

This is where we come in! Two experienced educators and math teachers at our core with over 40 years of combined education experience and numerous accolades between us including National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics and a finalist for the Presidents Award for Math and Science Teaching are here to ensure that your child is on track, feels comfortable, and is prepared in math and to excel!

The Summer Math Intensive has two parts: Fluency and Grade Level Core Concepts. In order to get the most out of this experience we recommend that your child complete both sessions, however, you have the option to pick just one component or both.

In school your child has likely learned solid number sense routines and thinking. We want to take this to the next level for FLUENCY in mathematical facts in our Fluency Week sessions. Imagine, by the end of a week with us, they will be able to fluently (quickly!) multiply within 100! Then, in our two-week Core Concepts Intensive, we will meet your child where they are with the grade level skill expectations they just completed to ensure they are solid and ready for next year!

You may be asking--- is a Math Intensive intense?? Well…. It will be intensely FUN and intensely helpful for your child’s development as a mathematical thinker. We aim to build their confidence with math and to strengthen solid mathematical thinking, fluency, problem solving skills, and comfort with expected grade level skills.

Fluency Intensive:

- One-week sessions – three days a week

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday

• 1 hour sessions by grade level

Rising 4th graders 12:15-1:15

Rising 5th graders 1:30-2:30

Rising 6th graders 2:45-3:45
