Maryland Tax Free Week is August 8-14

Are you sulking in the realization that you outgrew your favorite yoga pants?

Have you worn holes in your favorite "technically-maternity-but-I-wear-it-more-now-that-I'm-not-pregnant" shirt?

Or maaaaaybe your kids just need some back to school clothes.

You're in luck. August 8-14, 2020 is tax-free week in Maryland! This tax-free holiday applies to clothing and footwear that are priced at $100 or less. And the first $40 of a new backpack is also tax-free! Keep in mind that not all merchandise items are included in this tax break. For example, scarves, purses, jewelry, ties, headbands, and belt buckles are all taxed during this week and are not tax-exempt.
