A Note From Katy - Gratitude

By Katy Agro Myers

WHEW! It's been a week. My oldest was home sick on Tuesday. My youngest came home sick Wednesday after school and it's been a whirlwind ever since. My plan to get all my work done for the next couple of weeks so I could enjoy the holiday was thwarted. BUT - silver lining? I've got so much to be thankful for this year!

For the friend who picked up my other kids from school Tuesday when I couldn't.

For the friend who pitched in when I couldn't get the supplies to our soccer party Wednesday night.

For the friend who dropped off some wine, chocolate, and bath salts - just because.

For the friend who offered to bring aquaphor for dry cracked lips.

For the friend who brought powerade popsicles for my little boy who refuses to eat or drink because of said dry cracked lips.

For my mom for coming to the rescue to watch my sick child while I got my hair holiday ready. And for making him super buttery french toast so that he'd finally eat something.

For the friend who took my volunteer shift at school this morning.

For the extra snuggles that I've gotten along the way.

For our amazing pediatrician for checking in to make sure our other boys were ok before we head out of town.

For a flexible work schedule - yep, I'll be working through the weekend to get everything done, but I was so glad to be able to shift my schedule to give comfort to my little boy.

I'm ready for the holiday season - and yes, I've already started decorating. But also, I'm grateful for the opportunity to stop and be thankful before the season of giving begins. I'm thankful for YOU too! Thank you for following along on this journey. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!

xoxo,

Katy
