9th Annual Kids Trek Too Returns to Anne Arundel County
By Katy Agro Myers
Come join Justin Berk and Maryland Trek team as they cross the state. The event is geared toward kids and families to join the team for 2 miles on the B and A trail in Anne Arundel County.
We will meet the team behind the Lidl Grocery store on route 2 in Glen Burnie (7700 Ritchie Hwy Glen Burnie, MD 21061) and walk with the team on the trail until Marley Station then turn around as we send the team off and return to the same spot. Parking is at the Lidl parking lot.
* Please wear shoes and clothing appropriate for hot weather and walking
* Water and snacks will be provided (theres a snow cone truck!)
* Bring your spirit as the team will need some extra fun energy to give them a boost after walking for days
* It is encouraged to use this as an opportunity to teach fundraising to children. Not only will it cover their ticket to the event but it could potentially contribute to fueling a spirit of giving to others.
With your ticket purchase, you will receive a Just In Power Kids sun visor (it's your ticket to the snow cone truck too!)
ABOUT THE MARYLAND TREK
The Maryland Trek is a 7-day, 329-mile Hike and Bike combo starting in the Mountains of Western Maryland, crossing through the suburbs of Central Maryland, and culminating on the beach of our Eastern Shore at the inlet of Ocean City.
This is a high endurance event that requires extreme physical and mental capabilities. We hike 27 miles almost every day, more than the marathon distance, and then spend another 14 miles on our bikes traversing all kinds of both hilly and flat conditions. We liken this to the challenges that children endure while going through their cancer treatments. That is what makes this event so special, the very real strength and persistence that is required to complete this journey. Donate today!
